Rental Pickup & Restocking Fee Policy

Credit cards will be charged at the time the rental is reserved. The duration of the rental will start the day the item is delivered. ALL RENTAL SALES ARE FINAL!. NO EXCEPTIONS! The licensee's card will be debited at the time the reservation is made. WEEKLY rentals CAN NOT be converted to MONTHLY RENTALS or vice versa.

BMS notification for pickup must be received at least 2 days (48 hrs) in advance of the return date on this enclosed contract. If not, the client will be charged for the next rental period. All pickups scheduled after the due date are subject to a new delivery charge.

Once BMS processes your order and charges your credit card for your rental unit; that unit is reserved for YOU and the timeframe YOU specified. BMS policies can not and will not make this item available for anyone else for that specified time frame. This means if you change your mind for whatever reason and don't want to rent the unit BMS has lost the opportunity to rent the unit to someone else for that timeframe and will be unable to realize the revenue generated from that rental. In the event that a client reserves a unit and changes their mind or declines to accept and cancels after their card has been charged BMS reserves the right to charge a Restocking Fee. All cancellations are subject to a 25% restocking fee on items rented.


Unable to Contact, failure to Arrange for Pickup and Rental Duration Terms

BMS notification for pickup must be received at least 2 days (48 hrs) in advance of the return date on rental contract. If not, the client will be charged for the next rental period. All pickups scheduled after the due date are subject to a new pickup charge. Your acceptance of the terms of rental agreement authorizes BMS to charge licensee for the next rental term or restocking fee.

Rental Duration Terms

Rental duration are as follows:

  • Daily = 16 hrs - Rentals must be picked up or delivered in the morning and returned or delivered back to the store before closing.
  • 48 Hours = 2 days - Rentals may be returned to the store 48 hours later at the same time it was picked up or delivered.
  • Weekly = 7 days
  • Monthly = 28 days


Rental Policies Explained

Once BMS processes your order and charges your credit card for your rental unit; that unit is reserved for YOU and the timeframe YOU specified. BMS policies can not and will not make this item available for anyone else for that specified time frame. This means if you change your mind for whatever reason and don't want to rent the unit BMS has lost the opportunity to rent the unit to someone else for that timeframe and will be unable to realize the revenue generated from that rental. In the event that a client reserves a unit and changes their mind or declines to accept and cancels after their card has been charged BMS reserves the right to charge a Restocking Fee. All cancellations are subject to a 25% restocking fee on items rented.

DAILY rentals are for 16 hours. The equipment must be picked up or delivered in the morning and returned or delivered back to the store before closing. 2 DAY rentals may be returned to the store 48 hours later at the same time it was picked up or delivered. If the item is returned late or beyond the agreed upon rental period your card will be debited accordingly.

In the event that a client reserves a unit and changes their mind or cancels their order BMS reserves the right to charge a minimum of the weekly rental rate for that item or a 25% restocking fee on the items rented including the delivery charge.

This particular BMS policy was implemented because we can not and will not make this item available for anyone else for that specified time frame. This means if you cancel or change your mind for whatever reason and don't want to rent or refuse the item upon delivery BMS has lost the opportunity to rent the unit to someone else for that time frame and will be unable to realize the revenue generated from that rental.

Rent to Buy

At Bradford Medical Supply you have the option rent our equipment and have up to one month the cost of the rental go towards the purchase price of that equipment listed on bradfordmedicalsupply.com. Newer equipment will be discounted at our discretion.

Equipment Damaged by Customer

Licensee - take notice. Licensor uses great care to have all of its equipment in good order and repair, gives no warranty expressed or implied of merchantability or fitness or as to condition, quality or any other matter of any equipment sent out, and will in no way be responsible for damages resulting while in user's possession. Licensee acknowledges that the merchandise and/or equipment has been inspected, cleaned and received in good condition and accepted as is, and the Licensee agrees to save and hold harmless the Licensor for any damages sustained from same while in user's possession. The licensor reserves the right to compensation for repair labor, replacement cost of part up to the replacement cost of the entire unit and lost revenue due to down time of the the repair. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Licensee is responsible for said equipment and agrees to protect same from all loss and damage. Licensee further agrees not to release or redeliver said equipment to any other person, firm or corporation without the written consent of licensor.

Title to said equipment shall at all time be in Licensor and this transaction is a bailment only. In the event that renter/user has directed that the rental charges here under be billed to another person or organization, and payment is not made by such person or organization within ten (10) days after invoice date, renter/user shall, promptly upon receiving notice of nonpayment, pay said rental charges and such additional or other charges as may be added to the outstanding balance pursuant to the terms thereof. Licensee agrees to operate said equipment only in the manner for which it is intended and not to attempt to make any repairs of any nature, kind or description and in the event said equipment becomes inoperative, Licensor is to be notified at once. Licensee agrees to return said equipment to Licensor promptly upon demand and will cooperate with Licensor to make said equipment available for pickup by Licensor.

Used and Rental Equipment Cleaning

All of our rental medical equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every rental. All of our used equipment has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before it is sold to you. They are cleaned to meet all local, city and state public health requirements.

Before any wheelchair, lift chair, recliners, electric scooter, power wheelchair, hospital bed or mobility equipment can be certified as acceptable for customer use, Bradford Medical Supply inspects, cleans, sanitizes, tests, and adjusts, if necessary, at the beginning and ending of each rental period. Bradford Medical Supply's wheelchairs, lift chairs, recliners, electric scooters, power wheelchairs, hospital beds, knee walkers, transport chairs, or mobility equipment undergoes regular maintenance and inspection to monitor wear and identify any items that require replacement. We employ this strict policy so our customers can rest assured that equipment rented from us will be safe, reliable, presentable, and in optimum working condition.

Beyond our own strict maintenance policy, we maintain close relationships with our equipment manufacturers and distributors so our technicians are always aware of the latest advances in technology safety and maintenance procedures. These relationships enable Bradford Medical Supply to often accommodate special requests for equipment that may not be readily available.

Refunds

BMS charges credit cards immediately to reserve a rental unit. If BMS receives a request for a refund, BMS will perform the necessary investigation to determine if a refund is required. If BMS determines a refund is required we will send you a credit memo immediately and process your refund request within 5 business days. It can take up to 5 business days for BMS to receive the funds in the BMS merchant account. Your refund will not be issued until funds are disbursed into the BMS merchant account.

No returns or refunds on any SPECIAL ORDER items including new Hospital and Adjustable Beds, Walkers, Scooters, Mobility Chairs, Power Wheelchairs, Ramps, Knee Walkers and Lift Chairs. No Returns on Special Orders of Bathroom. Hygienic and Fitted Items; such as Pillows, Cushions and/or personal items.

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase less than $100 simply return the item within 3 days for a complete merchandise refund or exchange. All returns must be in unopened resalable and contain the original packing material, manuals and blank warranty cards. Bradford Medical Supply will only pay return shipping costs if returned items were shipped in error. BMS Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained from customer service or a sales representative for any and all returns. Customer Requested Service Calls

Bradford Medical Supply charges $90 for service call. If a unit rented from us has failed or is defective, Bradford Medical Supply will replace or remove the unit at the customers request at no charge. This fee is charged only when a determination has been made that the client is at fault.

Customers sometimes request a Bradford Medical Supply representative to assess the operational state of a rental unit during the rental period. If Bradford Medical Supply determines a unit has failed or is defective no charges will be assessed. If Bradford Medical Supply determines that the unit is operational and the customer did not operate the unit properly a charge will be assessed to the customer.

Bradford Medical Supply provided instructions upon deliver on how to operate the unit before it is released to the customer and the client must initial the rental agreement showing that they have been instructed how to operate the unit. Bradford Medical Supply wants to make information available to minimize or eliminate customer requested service calls. In an effort to do this Bradford Medical Supply makes all the the documentation on the equipment we rent available on the website.

Customer Late for Delivery

Due to our daily delivery schedule BMS CAN NOT wait for more than 30 minutes for a customer past the agreed upon appointment time on the agreement contract. Waiting longer than that impacts deliveries to other BMS customers and costs us valuable operational time and money. If BMS has to wait longer than 30 minutes than the time agreed to by the customer written on the contract we reserve the right to charge the customer up to 1/2 of the delivery charge as an additional fee.

Abuse of Equipment Cleaning Charges (Smoking, Soiling)

Our equipment is rented out cleaned and "smoke free". Ordinarily our equipment is returned in the pristine condition we send it out in. Usually our clients are cognizant and conscientious of keeping our equipment clean and returned to us in rentable condition.

The following policies are for clients that do not keep our equipment clean and "smoke free". The reason we have instituted these policies is because we rent virtually new equipment to our clients and if it is returned to BMS smelling like cigarette smoke we can not rent it to a non smoker ever again. Our lift chairs, mobility chairs, wheelchairs and power wheelchairs are extremely susceptible to cigarette smoke contamination. If BMS determines the unit you rented has been contaminated with cigarette smoke during your rental period; you will be charged a $100 dollar minimum cleaning fee. If BMS determines that the unit can not be cleaned to BMS rental standards you will be charged for the replacement cost of the unit and you are free to come pick up the unit at your convenience.

Customer "No Show for Delivery

Due to our daily delivery schedule BMS CAN NOT wait for more than 30 minutes for a customer past the agreed upon appointment time on the rental agreement contract. Customers who are not available at the time of the delivery and give no prior notice will be deemed and as a "NO SHOW" and be subject to the following charges:

  1. Daily or 24 Hour Deliveries - An additional delivery charge equal to the original charge and the cost of the daily or 24 hour rental.
  2. Weekly and Monthly Deliveries - An additional delivery charge equal to the original charge.


BMS will make every effort to redeliver the item for the same day if our schedule will allow it. BMS will make every effort to accommodate customers that give us a timely notice to a change in their schedules. If we can not accommodate the change in a clients schedule for the delivery day, the delivery will be rescheduled for the following day with an additional delivery charge.
